Caroline Spreitzenbart was born in 1991 in Austria. After graduating from “Die Graphische” in Vienna, she received a B.A. in Time-based and Interactive Media at the Art University Linz and is currently a cinematography student (under the supervision of Tom Fährmann, Peter Zeitlinger, and others) at the University of Television and Film Munich, Germany. As a DAAD scholarship holder, she was able to spend a year in the class “Documentary Film Directing” of Luciana Kaplan at the Mexican Film Institute.

SPIELFELD and ARS MORIENDI - THE ART OF LIVING, in which Spreitzenbart was responsible for cinematography and co-directing (SPIELFELD) have been awarded as “best short documentary” at the Austrian Filmfestival Diagonale. In addition to worldwide screenings, the team received the “Carte Blanche” young talent award at the Duisburg Film Week in 2017.
